Stay Active!

It doesn’t matter WHAT you do, as long as you do something. So, carpe diem! Seize the day!

For mind, body, and spirit –

Get outside!

When presenting his Stay Home, Stay Healthy Proclamation, Governor Inslee made it clear how important it is for people to continue to go outside. Socially distanced walks, bike rides, gardening, skateboarding, riding a scooter, or whatever you will enjoy all are great ways to get out and stretch your legs. Exposure to sunlight promotes health and wellness on many levels. Even one step out your back door and into your yard counts!

StretchClock

Developed by a local, Skagit County company, https://www.stretchclock.com/ is a timer you can set to go off regularly from your smart phone or computer that encourages you to stretch on a regular basis. THERE IS A FREE VERSION. It also includes video of outdoor settings, where you can hear the birds chirping, water lapping, etc. as you move.

Free, Online options

There are a number of online exercise apps and websites that have a free trial period you can take advantage of. For example, Nike’s has a new slogan, “Play inside, play for the world,” and is offering it’s Nike Training Club (NTC) premium app for free at https://www.nike.com/ntc-app.
